A dark and comedic yet rollicking and winsome celebration of classic Holiday tunes morphed into minor keys, the 5th annual ‘An Altared Christmas’ hits the Rio Theatre stage again this year.
Produced by multi-instrumentalist Rhan Wilson (ROMP, Thoth, Patrick Landeza Project, Flight), this show features fellow ROMP members Olaf Schiappacasse(Warmth, Rain, Chuck Berry, The Drifters), Matt Bohn (Hot Club Pacific, Patrick Landeza Project), and Patti Maxine (Patrick Landeza Project, Eddie Kamae, John Cruz), as well as the wonderful and soulful Grammy nominee Tammi Brown (Sista Monica, Stanley Jordan, Spryo Gyra), Dale Ockerman(Doobie Brothers, White Album Ensemble), Michael Horne(Pulse Productions, Sol Circle), Rich Schmidt, Richard Stockton (prolific comedian/producer of ‘The Planet Cruz Comedy Hour’), Celina Gutierrez, David Wallis, Ukulele Dick, Rick Zeek, KyleGorath, and San Francisco’s Janet Roitz and Mark Edwards (Neverland, Instant Bro).
This “alternate-universe” rock concert extravaganza will again include “The Heavenly Bliss Impromptu Gospel Choir” and the inevitable protest from incensed local reindeer advocates.
All in all, over two dozen gregariously-festooned musicians, singers, and actors will sleigh-ride you through a snowballing minor key Christmas that Grandma never could have imagined.

This CD is dedicated to our friend and fellow ukulele player, Geno Galli, who sadly left this earth May 1st, 2008. Geno readily accepted the part of the "Italian waiter" for the song "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" we performed, and he did an absolutely marvelous job.
