This CD will be dedicated to our friend and fellow ukulele player, Geno Galli, who sadly left this earth May 1st, 2008. Geno readily accepted the part of the "Italian waiter" for the song "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" we performed, and he did an absolutely marvelous job.

A dark and comedic yet rollicking and winsome celebration of classic Christmas tunes morphed into minor keys, the fourth annual ‘An Altared Christmas’ hits the Rio stage for the first time this year!
Produced by multi-instrumentalist Rhan Wilson (Thoth, Haunted By Waters, Flight), this show features the Great Morgani (the world’s most energetic accordionist), Richard Stockton (prolific comedian of the Planet Cruz Comedy Hour), soulful singer Tammi Brown (Sista Monica, Stanley Jordan, Spyro Gyra), drummer Jim Norris (The Humans, Lacy J. Dalton), lap steel whiz Patti Maxine (Island Breeze, Eddie Kamae, Patrick Landeza, John Cruz), multi-recording artist Ukulele Dick and a host of other local and bay area musicians, this alternate-universe extravaganza will also offer a full-sized rock band, a rampagingly blissed-out gospel choir and a possible protest from incensed local reindeer advocates.
Lighting and sound design will be handled by Ed Atkins and Pete Coates (courtesy of The Cayuga Vault) respectively, and members of the band and cast include: Matt Bohn, Kyle Gorath, Celina Gutierrez, David Wallis, Janet Roitz, Mark Sowlakis, Mark Edwards, Olaf Schiappacasse, Peter Cor and Rick Zeek.
All in all, over 30 gregariously-festooned musicians, singers, actors and even an overwhelmed holidays analyst will sleigh-ride y’all through a snowballing minor key Christmas that grandmother never knew!
